Bundled content libraries
ClipForge ships with built-in libraries of UGC-style hook clips, music tracks and sound effects. These assets are licensed or royalty-free for use within videos you create and export with ClipForge, including commercial promotional videos for your apps and products.
What that means in practice:
- You may include library clips, music and sound effects in videos you export from ClipForge and publish anywhere, including for commercial purposes.
- You may not extract, resell or redistribute library assets as standalone files, or repackage them as part of another content library or product.
- Where an individual track's license requires attribution, the details are shown alongside the track in the app.
Open-source software in the app
ClipForge is built almost entirely on Apple's first-party frameworks — SwiftUI, AVFoundation and Core Media for editing and rendering, and Apple's on-device Speech and speech-synthesis APIs for captions and voiceover. The app links the following third-party open-source components, used for accounts and project sync:
- Firebase Apple SDK (FirebaseAuth, FirebaseCore) — Apache License 2.0
- abseil-cpp — Apache License 2.0
- AppCheck — Apache License 2.0
- GoogleDataTransport — Apache License 2.0
- GoogleUtilities — Apache License 2.0
- gRPC — Apache License 2.0
- GTM Session Fetcher — Apache License 2.0
- Interop for Google SDKs — Apache License 2.0
- LevelDB — BSD 3-Clause License
- nanopb — zlib License
- Promises — Apache License 2.0
- Swift Protobuf — Apache License 2.0
Some Google components resolved alongside the Firebase SDK (such as GoogleAppMeasurement and prebuilt gRPC binaries) are distributed by Google in binary form under Google's own terms. Full license texts are available at each project's repository linked above.
